Professor Igor Sheiman presents at Oxford and University College London

Leading Research Fellow in the Centre for Health Policy, Igor Sheiman, participated in the seminar ‘Health in Russia in 2020: A Return to Normality? which took place alongside a workshop in Great Britain on March 27-28, 2014.

The seminar and workshop ‘Health in Russia in 2020: A Return to Normality?’ was organised by University College London’s School of Slavonic & East European Studies, Oxford University’s Russian and East European Studies Centre, and the Higher School of Economics.

The event was held at Oxford University’s Russian and East European Studies Centre. At the seminar, Leading Research Fellow in the Centre for Health Policy, Igor Sheiman, presented a paper on the work of an expert group on ‘Issues and Debates in the Preparation of the Health Section of the Strategy 2020 Document of the Government of the Russian Federation'.

In addition, a workshop took place at University College London’s School of Slavonic & East European Studies. In his paper, Igor Sheiman talked about the role of reforms in Russia’s healthcare system, as well as achievements made concerning the goals outlined by Strategy 2020 (Reforms of the Russian Medical System and Their Impact Out to 2020).
